Clickآ HEREآ and HERE to see a generic rubric for your composition notebook. This is only to give you a general idea to think about. The actual grading sheet and points may be different depending on what chapter we are on, when in the grading period we are, etc. The general 0-3 pattern in the rubric will be the best way to figure out the quality of your work. DPPs may be graded either daily in class, at the end of the class period, end of the week, end of the chapter, or after the test. It just depends on how much time we have that day/week/month. Be prepared for them to be graded during class each day!

You cannot do your homework in the composition notebook because you need to turn the homework in as part of your Rainbow Packet! It would also take up way too much space, you would need tons of composition notebooks!آ However, you can use your composition notebook for extra practice, or as a place to write down questions you want to ask me, etc. if you would like! Just make sure you are clear with what it is so I know what I am looking at when I grade your composition notebook. Also realize if you use it for other things you may run out of space and need a second one!

You can use tickets or passes to earn back points from missed DPPs or incomplete notes. One pass for one assignment. However, if you forget your entire composition notebook the day it is collected then you cannot use a pass or tickets for that unless you have a "Notebook Check Pass."
